Kia ora rā! I love teaching te reo because I love anything that promotes and supports the wide and open opportunity for as many people as possible to learn our beautiful reo ☺️ I can help absolute beginner to intermediate level reo speakers with pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary building and audible comprehension. I grew up initially learning native reo from my nan and was put through kōhanga reo and kura kaupapa until I was 15 years old. In 2016, I attained proficiency in te reo o Te Pihinga based on the ‘Te Whanake’ curriculum series. Since this I’ve worked teaching te reo to both children and second(+) language learning adults at REAP Ruapehu, Kia Ngutu Huia (Ngāti Hinemanu reo revitalisation initiative), Te Kōhanga Reo o Mōkai Pātea and Te Wharekura o Manurewa. Working through Mokohia and AUT, though not te reo specific roles, helped develop my skills in teaching/assisting a learner - especially in the online format.
